I am especially proud of Before I Met You and This Imperfect Life. 

 

I didn't set out to make these songs suitable for film and TV. My intention was to tell two stories about my life and perhaps others as well. Before I Met You is about the people who came into my life, sometimes out of nowhere, and changed it for the better. I think of a spouse, a child, a dog, a friend and God, as the third verse describes. This is not a sappy love song, rather a song that expresses genuine gratitude.

My Imperfect Life is deeply personal. I reflect on life noting the actions I took for good and those that were hurtful. Hoping it all adds up to a good if imperfect life. It also sings about loved family members who have drifted out our lives.
